Stone steps mid project

This client specifically asked for large, deep-rounded steps to meet an existing patio to ensure safe use for younger and older family members. The stone needed to look aged due to the well-established house and gardens so Yorkshire Stone was specifically sourced.

Stone steps

Yorkshire slate was used to complete this project which matched the existing Yorkshire stone house and surrounding dry stone walls. The client wanted these steps to look like they had been there a long time so this required a specific attention to detail specifically with colour and texture.

Patio before project

This client wanted to replace their wooden decking due to rot and slipping issues. Due to the client's disability it was requested the most level patio to allow for electric wheelchair access to the house via their existing ramp.

After consultation it was understood that the existing ramp was manually placed by the client and extremely heavy. With no added cost the design changed so that the patio was made level with the back door and accommodated a slight decline across the garden allowing safe and secure access for the client.

Porcelain patio

On an initial consultation this client had mentioned that the majority of neighbouring properties made use of Indian stone, however, this was not to their liking. Porcelain was recommended due to its durability and it was clear due to the interior decoration that it would be more to their style. Porcelain is not the easiest product to work with, it is brittle and can chip if not cut perfectly but with great care and a good attention to detail it leaves a beautiful finish.
